The most important thing to be kept in mind is that one should water the plant with root stimulator. If any air pockets are present, it should be removed. This plant needs high moisture. For the best results it should be planted in partial shade or full shade and in complete sun exposure.

In order to grow well the flower needs high levels of humidity. And an organic and well drained soil is needed for them. The plant should get full sun and shade is also necessary. One should ensure that the flowers are not over watered and are fertilized well using an acidic fertilizer. Bud drop, is a common disease in these and should be watched out for and care should be taken to avoid it. Gardenias are high up to 2 to 8 feet and blossom in the early period in the mid-spring and into late summer.
