The Rose will Never Fail to be Beautiful
Like denim jeans, ‘Genus Rosa‘ or the simply the Rose has been fashionable, popular and of course stunning for centuries. It is often seen as the embodiment of love, a gift to our loved ones to show our affection. And why stop at one rose – the custom of course is, a dozen roses.
In popular culture, roses are most often associated with being the color red and exchanged on events such as Valentine’s Day. They also come in pink, white, yellow and orange.
While it may not have been an ambassador for love since it was first cultivated, research shows that the rose was likely to be first grown in 3000 B.C by South-East Asia.
Australian florists sell a variety of rose species, from the garden roses of Europe to the Modern rose. Many people assume that roses are universal in appearance.
However, certain species are more adaptable to specific climates and conditions, making one species of rose more common in the country it is being cultivated. Send roses or flowers internationally and the recipient will likely have never seen the flower you’ve sent before!
Different species of roses include, but are not limited to: Old Garden Roses, such as Damask and Moss, The Hybrid range, such as Perpetual and Rugosa and the Modern Garden Roses, including Polyantha and Grandiflora.
Roses aren’t simply used for romance. Rose-flavoured gelatin products as well as makeup and perfume can be derived from Rose Hip. Tea can also be brewed from rose.
With the introduction of the internet and online shopping, sending flowers is easier than ever. There are many categories which an expert florist can cater to, from an anniversary bouquet, funeral, ‘get well’ and of course romantic love.
